A twist on the mint julep using genever and fresh pineapple
1.5 oz bourbon
1.5 oz barrel aged bols genever
3/4 oz simple syrup
6-8 mint leaves
4 pineapple chunks (reserve 1 for garnish)
Muddle pineapple in shaker tin. Add other ingredients and press mint lightly. Add ice. Quick shake. Fill chilled glass or julep cup 2/3 with crushed ice. Strain drink over ice. Quick stir. Add more crushed ice and garnish with mint and pineapple. Dust with powdered sugar.
