An original cocktail. A spin on the classic Sazerac with Chartreuse and Benedictine.. Both created by monks so the name made sense.
1oz 1776 rye (100 proof)
1oz Old Grandad BIB (100 proof)
1/2oz Green Chartreuse (110 proof)
3-4 dashes of Peychaud's bitters
-Chill a rocks glass.
-Add all ingredients to a mixing glass except lemon.
-Stir until cooked
-Rinse chilled rocks glass with Chartreuse
-Strain cocktail into rocks glass (up)
-Zest lemon peel and insert
