This was my Sunday bartenders whim drink before wrapping presents. The flavor is complex and like most Christmas events, needs a little scotch.
1.25 oz Aperol
1.25 oz Gin
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
.25 oz Laphroaig scotch
.25 mint simple syrup
4 blackberries, 2 frozen for garnish, 2 for muddle
Mint and lemon peel for garnish
Pinch of brown sugar
Oak wood chips and smoking gun
Start by muddling 2 blackberries with a pinch of brown sugar in the shaker. Then add the liquid ingredients also into shaker. Add ice and shake Well. Add your garnish to the glass then double strain the drink in as well. Then smoke for 10 seconds and seal the drink. Enjoy!
