About a year ago, I had joined IG & found this powder blue cocktail presented by CheersToHappyHour. On closer review, the drink originated with DJRobinJames from Toronto’s MissThingsHawaiian. While the cocktail uses a coupe, this is tropical enough for tiki-ware and reflect a couple of changes to the original recipe.
1 1/4 Spiced Rum
1 oz Pineapple Rum
3/4 oz Blue Curaçao
1 1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
3/4 oz Coconut Cream
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 20+ seconds.
Add ice and shake again for 15 seconds.
Double strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. As an alternative, you might use a tiki glass, but at the risk of missing the great blue hue.
