Original cocktail from Kill-Devil Clarke's House of Rum
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 Bärenjäger (honey liqueur)
1/4 oz honey mix (equal parts water & honey)
1 oz aged Jamaican rum
1 oz aged Rhum agricole
1/4 oz grenadine
Pour everything in a shaker except for grenadine with plenty of crushed ice and shake well. Pour unstrained into a double old fashioned glass. Float grenadine on top and garnish with lemon rind twist and maraschino cherry.
1 part honey
1 part water
Combine honey and water in saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Do not boil! Remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature and transfer to bottle with cap. Add a small amount of a neutral spirit (such as vodka) to help preserve. Keep refrigerated.
