About this Cocktail

As the name implies, this drink is a riff of the Bijou. I cribbed from Jamie Boudreau's version. While the 1:1:1 ratio may work for a drink on ice, it may be a bit sweet for an "up" drink. Even the 2:1:1 ratio is pretty sweet. This version is 3:1:1.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz London dry gin
  • 0.5 oz genepy
  • 0.5 oz Cocchi Americano
  • One dash orange bitters
Preparation:

Stir well with refrozen ice for that silky texture and strain into a cocktail glass. No garnish, but it may be better with a lemon twist to brighten up the nose.
