About this Cocktail
Saw a contestant on Masterchef make a blackberry & balsamic reduction & thought it must be a flavour combination worth trying.
The finished product could do with some tweaking, but the balsamic vinegar adds a really quirky dimension to the flavour of the fruit.
You get a slight aroma of the vinegar & you can taste it early on before it mellows out to the smooth, sweetness of the blackberry.
Happy with this little experiment.
(Gutted I didn't have a martini glass to use)
75ml - Stolichnaya Vodka
5ml - Balsamic Vinegar
15ml - Sugar Syrup
Muddle blackberries & sugar syrup in Boston glass.
Add other ingredients and shake with ice.
Double strain into chilled martini glass.
Garnish with blackberry.
