About this Cocktail
A rye whiskey drink with grapefruit for citrus and grenadine for sweetness.
The Blinker recipe comes from from Patrick Gavin Duffy's "The Official Mixer’s Manual," 1934 and also "The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks" by David A. Embury, 1948.

Note: I used a pomegranate simple syrup rather than packaged grenadine.
2 oz rye whiskey
1 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz grenadine
Shake vigorously over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe.
