Bloody ATL

About this Cocktail

This unique twist on the Bloody Mary originated at the Delta SkyClub Lounges in the Atlanta airport. I've never had one anywhere else, but all my frequent flyer friends who've been through the ATL know it. It's a great way to take the sting out of your layover. Note: if anyone knows the bartender who created it, be sure to mention in the comments.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Skyy vodka
  • Splash house merlot
  • 3 oz bloody Mary mix
  • Squeeze of lime
  • Dash salt & pepper
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of Tabasco
Preparation:

Pour vodka and merlot over rocks. Add mixers and shake. Sit by a window and watch the planes take off.

    Updated the recipe based on bartender's rec on return trip. He said he's been making it for 7 years. Just needs a splash of merlot bc "you don't want it to be a bloody merlot." He said people call the sky club to get the recipe. I told him he was gonna be huge on barnotes :)
