About this Cocktail

The incredibly talented, unfathomably amazing people at Dutch Kills in Queens made this for my roommate and I. We're hooked, we got the recipe. We've probably ordered ten and made five of them. This is currently my fav whiskey cocktail served up.

Ingredients:
  • 1.75 oz George Dickel Rye
  • .5 oz Sweet Vermouth (used Martini & Rossi)
  • .5 oz Amaro (used Averna)
  • .25 Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
  • 2 dashes of Angostura
  • 2 dashes of Regans'
  • Lemon peel
Preparation:

Combine all liquids over ice and stir like you're anticipating a glorious revelation.

Strain into chilled coupe. Express lemon peel generously.

Note: Dutch Kills used Old Overholt, I like it better with Rittenhouse or George Dickel for the spiciness.
