My tequila-based take on the bourbon-based Brown Derby, with added heat and lime. "Hot honey" is honey infused with hot peppers, available commercially as Mike's Hot Honey; or make your own with your spicy pepper of choice. Rafa García Febles, NYC, 2013.
1 1/2 oz blanco tequila, 100% de agave
1 oz white grapefruit juice
3/4 oz hot honey syrup (hot pepper-infused honey syrup)
1/2 oz lime juice
Shake, strain, serve in an old fashioned glass on a rock. Optionally garnish with a grapefruit slice.
