Borage is growing in my garden and has a history with drinks. It is a prickly plant, not especially pretty until the beautiful star shaped lilac flowers come out. And it tastes a bit like cucumber. Both the leaves and the flowers.
50ml Fifty Pounds Gin
15ml Noilly Prat
One borage leaf
4 drops Bittermens Orchard St Celery Shrub
3 Borage Flowers
Muddle the leaf with the gin and shrub vigorously. Add the vermouth (or less if you prefer a drier drink). Stir 25 times with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Float the flowers on the surface of the drink b
