About this Cocktail

Broken English is complex, and different flavors hit you at different times. I can't quite figure it out, hence its name I suppose. Also, the more ingredients there are, the more careful you should be measuring. Note my glass choice did not accommodate the full drink. #FirstWorldProblems

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1/2 oz Strega
  • 1/4 oz Fernet Branca
  • 1 tsp Benedictine
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, stir and strain into a cocktail glass. Sometimes you have a little extra. Garnishing with grapefruit peel is recommended, but wasn't available at press time.

I really started to enjoy this drink after the 4th or 5th sip. The grapefruit garnish also complimented the drink nicely. Thanks for sharing!
