Candied Ginger

About this Cocktail

We made a batch of candied ginger, and there was some delicious syrup left in the pan when we were done. This was one of the ways we found to use the leftover syrup.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 1 oz ginger syrup
  • 2 oz Sprite (or club soda)
  • Lemon wedge
Preparation:

You can make the ginger syrup by simmering fresh sliced ginger, sugar and water. You basically make candied ginger and save the syrup.

Add rum and ginger syrup to the glass.

Stir until combined.

Add ~2 oz sprite or club soda

Squeeze juice from lemon wedge into glass.

Rub the rim of the glass with the lemon rind and add to drink.
