Carciofo is Italian for artichoke, and this drink is a sour using the Italian amaro Cynar, which is made with artichokes. I played with the proportions on this one enough that I eventually ran out of lemons, which was fortunate because it's surprisingly good with some orange juice.
Build in shaker, dry-shake vigorously, add a few cubes and shake until chilled, strain over a big cube in an old fashioned glass, or something similar. Finish with an orange swath.
