I was looking for a good spring/summertime cocktail and came across this gem at The Belmont in Charleston, SC. You'll get a nice spearmint taste off this American gin that really gives a refreshing quality to the cocktail.
2 oz Cardinal Gin
1 oz Velvet Falernum
1-2 drops orange flower water
1 cucumber slice
Muddle the cucumber slice with the velvet falernum. Add the gin and orange flower water. Shake well and double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish by floating a thin cucumber slice on top.
