My wife's uncle is whipping these delicious daiquiris up with Zaya 12 Gran Reserve. He insists the superfine sugar gives a much better texture than simple syrup and he's right. The aged rum stands up amazingly to the lemon and gives the drink a great nose.
3 oz. Zaya 12 yr Gran Reserva rum
2 Teaspoons of superfine sugar
1.5 oz. lemon
Combine all ingredients with ice, shake and serve.
