About this Cocktail
Inspired by the January burger of the month at The Drinkingbird, I swiped a few of Chef Hector's kumquats and shook up this tart treat. I prefer more sour to sweet, so adjust to taste.
2 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1 oz simple
1 oz lemon
4-6 kumquats, finely chopped/minced
Kumquat round (garnish)
Combine all ingredients and shake vigorously with ice. Strain with mesh strainer into chilled coupe. Garnish with kumquat round.
