About this Cocktail

Adapted from Hardeep Rehal from Bar Rouge in Copenhagen

I first encountered the herbal, spiced Scandinavian vodka-like Aquavit when my Swedish roommates brought it back from their trips home during college. Years later I spotted it behind the bar at Intermezzo in Atlanta. I asked the bartender to make me something with it and he gave me The Complement. Aquavit never tasted so good.

Dangerously quiet for its strength, it's bright and floral with a complex herbal finish. Take time to taste it; let it roll around before swallowing and let it linger afterwards for the best drinking experience.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 3/4 oz Aquavit
  • 2 dashes Maraschino liqueur
  • 1 dill sprig
Preparation:

•  Shake ingredients with ice
•  Strain into cocktail glass
•  Garnish with dill
