I read that this is one of the most popular drinks in Argentina but couldn't find a definitive recipe. I decided to improvise and keep it simple. I'm quite pleased with the result.
2 oz Cynar
2 oz pink grapefruit juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Dash of lemon juice
10-12 mint leaves
Sprig of mint and slice of grapefruit garnish
In julep cup muddle mint with dash of lemon. Add all other ingredients and stir. Half fill with crushed ice and stir until cup is frosted. Top with more ice and garnish. Drink through a short straw to get your nose into the mint with every sip.
