About this Cocktail

In the fall of 2009, some friends and I threw a Malört cocktail party and this is what I made for the partygoers. Read more about Malört cocktails at: http://whistlerchicago.tumblr.com/post/27365038909

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz Jeppson's Malört
  • 1 oz Laird's Bonded Apple brandy
  • .5 oz Cinnamon Syrup (BG Reynolds)
  • .5 Lemon juice
  • Egg white
Preparation:

Shake. Double strain. Rocks glass.

    Friday Malort discussion happening on BarNotes. This drink "sounds" good and looks beautiful. I've yet to actually try Malort.

    When it comes to Malort, I can say that drinking Jepsum's straight is an exceedingly bad idea.

    Two Chicago distilleries -- Letherbee and FEW -- recently came out with their own versions of Malört. Letherbee's is downright delicious.
