Dog-End Cocktail

About this Cocktail

As the name suggests I went out to make a challenging late evening drink from some of my favourite ingredients. I don't smoke, but this is to replicate the smoky, hazy end to a meal, a coffee having been despatched with the taste of an after-dinner mint lingering through it and debate raging with old friends. I love this. (Note to non-British readers. I'm not sure if dog-end translates outside the UK. It is slang for the crushed end of a used cigarette).

Ingredients:
  • 25ml Bruchladdich Octomore II "The Beast"
  • 25ml La Penca Mezcal
  • 12.5ml Galliano Ristretto
  • 12.5ml Fernet Branca
Preparation:

Stir over ice for a while to dilute the high proof whisky and strain into a chilled old fashioned glass.
