This is one of Phil Ward's recipes taken straight from the excellent death & co book. I picked up a bottle of pomegranate molasses today and knew there was a drink in there that I wanted to try. I was blown away. Those guys are famous for good reason. This might be my new favourite whisky sour variation.
2oz rittenhouse rye bottled in bond
3/4oz simple syrup
3/4oz lemon juice
1 teaspoon pomegranate molasses
3 mint leaves (plus 1 for garnish)
Add all ingredients to an ice filled shaker and shake vigorously. Double strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a mint leaf.
