About this Cocktail

while visiting one of my hometowns, San Luis Obispo, i was really happy to see some good cocktail bars starting to take root. one of these places, Granada, really impressed me, this cocktail in particular. it's exactly what i would want on a warm day in the yard, and i really like the use of carrot juice.

  • 2 oz. Death's Door gin
  • .5 oz. Cynar
  • .75 oz. carrot juice
  • .5 oz. lime
  • .5 oz. sage syrup

this healthy cocktail is all shaken up and served over ice with a sage leaf. when i serve it [the rare times i have carrot juice] i prefer to serve up in a coupe. the aromatics are great and better taken in.
