Dry County Cocktail

About this Cocktail

Had this at Absinthe in San Francisco. I'm improvising a bit on the exact proportions. It wasn't all that sweet so I'm guessing there wasn't a lot of the syrup.

As the menu states the name is a play off the fact that George Dickel is distilled in a dry county in Tennessee.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. George Dickel 12 year whiskey
  • 1 oz. Dolin Dry vermouth
  • 1/4 oz. ginger syrup
  • 2 dashes lemon bitters
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass.
