Geneva '54

About this Cocktail

A livelier version of the French '75 using home infused basil ginger vodka. Named after the Geneva Convention of 1954 which kicked the French out of Vietnam which was the last of French colonial Indochina. Concocted by me for an art salon event.

  • 1oz basil ginger infused vodka *
  • 1/2oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2oz simple syrup
  • dash of Bitter End Thai Bitters
  • Top with champagne

Add infused vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker. Shake with ice then strain and pour into champagne glass. Top with champagne and add dash or two of bitters.

* Infused basil ginger vodka is simple to make. Peel and chop a bunch of ginger, tear the leaves off of a bunch of fresh basil, and then stuff it all in a large vodka bottle. Let it set a week, then remove the basil and ginger.
