About this Cocktail

Cardamaro and Swedish Punsch belong together but they need intervention. The scotch (I used Chivas 12) draws out the funk from both and rounds it out while the Benedictine and Vanilla bitters turn up the treble in the scotch.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5oz Scotch
  • .75oz Cardamaro
  • .5oz Swedish Punsch
  • .25oz Benedictine
  • 2 dashes house Vanilla Bitters
Preparation:

To make the Vanilla Bitters: in a mason jar add a 1" piece of burdock root, 3 vanilla beans split lengthwise, 1/4tsp of white peppercorns, 1tbs cocoa nibs, and 8oz of Everclear. Let is sit at room temp in the dark for 2 weeks and agitate from time to time. Strain with a coffee filter and add to a dasher or dropper bottle.

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain, and pour into a coupe.
