Good Morning Amores

About this Cocktail

The weekend is upon us! Neat recipe for those who will be waking up on Saturday morning hungover. Targeted at people who (like myself have grown bored of tomato juice based/ very heavy hair of the dog drinks) are looking for something light, nice and refreshing but still has that kick to it.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Amores Mezcal
  • 0.75 oz Lime juice
  • 0.75 oz Sugar syrup
  • Chunk of cucumber
  • Handful of mint
  • Sun dried whole chillies
  • Tabasco
  • Lea & Perrins
  • Soda water
Preparation:

Rinse a mason jar with the Tabasco and Lea & Perrins. Add the Cucumber, mint (and chillies if you really feel like sweating it out) to your mixing tin, be careful not to muddle the mint too much causing it to turn bitter. Add your Amores Mezcal, lime juice, sugar syrup and ice. If you're too hungover, get someone else to shake!

Double strain the cocktail into Tabasco and L&P coated mason jar, top with soda and garnish with lime wedge. Good morning Amores!

This is great and I'm gonna sub Cholula for Tabasco.

Go for it! I would have opted for something else myself but we only have Tabasco at work at the moment :p
