About this Cocktail

Based on Golden Slumbers from MyBestCocktails. Repurposed for my available supplies.

I made this one up based on another I found on the web but modified for ingredients I had on hand. I named it based on color. It strongly reminds me of this duality of color molecule thick gold films have. Transmitted light is green but reflected is gold. Depending on the angle you look at it you see different colors.

Also? It's an 11 oz cocktail with 4 oz liquor in it. Hold onto your hats!

Tastes like a twisty margarita.

  • 1.5 oz (44 ml) Herradura Reposado Tequila
  • 1.5 oz (44 ml) Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Green Chartreuse
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lemon Juice
  • 6 oz (177 ml) Canada Dry Ginger Ale
  • 2 King Ice cubes
  • Ice tea glass
  • (Optional) mint garnish

Put ice cubes in an ice tea glass. Add ingredients. Stir. Garnish with mint (if you have it).
