About this Cocktail
Graeme MacKay at the Good Spirits co. cocktail club in Glasgow took us back in time to the late 17th century with this all but forgotten ingredient.
30ml Platte Valley Corn Whisky
45ml Dorset Twilight Cider
Apple slice garnish
*for the Switchel
8 tbsp cider vinegar
200ml maple syrup
3 thumb size pieces of ginger
2litres of water
Build ingredients in rocks glass over ice. Stir and garnish with a slice or two of apple.
* For the Switchel combine all ingredients in a large mason jar and allow flavours to marry together until you are happy with the flavour, adjusting any quantities to your personal taste.
