I'm not a big beer guy in general…although I guess that was obvious since I helped create an app about cocktails. Truth is that my favorite way to enjoy beer is as part of a cocktail. This one comes from the folks at Bittercube Bitters and is perfect for this time of year. The wheat beer I used is from Abita, a local brewery just north of New Orleans.
1.25 oz Noah's Mill
.33 oz Fresh Lemon
.5 oz Demerara Simple
3 oz Wheat Beer
Instructions: Build in Collins Glass over ice and stir. Top with wheat beer and give a gentle stir to amalgamate. Top with hops leaves and bitters.
Glass: Collins Garnish: Dried Hop Leaves (which I didn't have)
Garnish: Several Drops Bittercube Hops Bitters
