This was my entry to the UKBG Bournemouth Bartenders Grand Prix 2014, winning 2nd place.
40ml Three Barrels French Brandy
15ml Luxardo Amaretto
8ml Bowmore 15yr Whisky
1/2 Barspoon of Sussex Honey
3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Smoked with Oak
Garnished with a smoking strip of birch bark tied to stem of glass
Add ingredients to Mixing glass full of ice.
Stir for 1 minute
Fill a teapot with Oak smoke from a smoking gun
Strain cocktail down the spout of the teapot, swirl he liquid around he inside of the teapot, allowing the liquid to take on the flavour of the smoke
Pour into chilled Martini glass.
Light birch bark strip then quickly extinguish using fingers.
Serve while still smoking.
