My very own cocktail. It's Brooklyn because of the Sorel Hibiscus liqueur & it's Bayou because of the Louisiana Bayou Spiced rum. Hence, the name, If Brooklyn had a Bayou. It's fruity but spiced, which makes for a great wintry concoction.
1.0 oz Bayou Spiced Rum
.5 oz Sorel hibiscus liqueur
1.0 oz Pineapple juice
.5 oz fresh lime juice
.5 homemade kaffir lime syrup
Spiced raw sugar rim
Add ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into spiced rim rocks glass.
Kaffir lime syrup- bring 5 kaffir leaves (cut) to a boil in 2 quarts of water. Add 2 quarts of sugar simmer for 15 minutes. Let cool.
Spiced sugar rim- combine and blend
.5 cup raw sugar
Bar spoons of clove, nutmeg, ginger
