I found a bottle of Ferro-China Bisleri in the back of a cupboard, a strange metallic, liquorice-y Italian drink (is it an amaro of sorts?). And this was the first attempt to use it in a Manhattan variation. It's good...
60ml Pappy Van Winkle 13 year old rye whiskey
15ml Cocchi Di Torino vermouth
15ml Ferro-China Bisleri
A dash of Dr Adam Elmigirabs Spanish bitters
A bourbon & cherry heering infused cherry
Stir first four ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
Garnish with cherry.
