More cocktails should have boba. This drink should resemble a jaguar's (or really more a leopard's) coat when completed. The butter washed white rum idea is borrowed from the PDT cocktail The Shark. Named with apologies to Mr. Steve Zissou.
1.5 oz Flor de CaÃ±a Extra Dry white rum (brown butter-infused)
.5 oz Aged cachaca (or funky rum)
.75 oz Coconut liqueur (Kalani)
.75 oz Orange CuraÃ§ao
.5 oz lemon juice
.5 oz lime juice
8 Boba (tapioca pearls)
4 oz crushed ice
Pulse blend all but boba for 5 seconds. Pour without straining into a hurricane glass or other tall glass with boba. Garnish with a paper umbrella through a lemon wheel. Serve with a wide straw.
