I got this Old Fashioned from a danish friend which lives and works in London. Jesper Callisen is one of my mentors in bartending and flairtending and this twist to the old fashion has the right balance between strong-sweet-bitter.
60ml Four Roses Bourbon
1 sugar cube
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 barspoon marashino juice ( from the cocktail cherrys)
Take a shaker tin, add the sugarcube at the bottom. Add 3 dashes of angoatura bitters, a barspoon marashino juice (from the cocktail cherries) and a dash of soda. Then muddle and stir till the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the mix in a old fashioned glas filled with ice and stir. Add 30ml of bourbon and stir again. Add some more ice and 30 ml bourbon.
Finisch with an large orange twist and a cocktail stick.
