I was messing around with some Buffalo Trace. This is similar to a Vieux Carre as it has some of the ingredients (i.e. Brandy, vermouth, bitters although no peychaud) with a twist. The drink is smooth and gives a hint of that bourbon that is then taken to another level with the vermouth brandy and touch of luxardo. From my experience, look Sarto can definitely overpower a drink, a little goes a long way. Enjoy guys!
2oz Buffalo Trace
1oz Vermouth (I prefer Cocchi)
2 dashes of angostura
Half a bar spoon of Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
Add ingredients to your Yarai or mixing glass and stir with cracked ice until cold. Strain into an old-fashioned glass with a large rock of ice.
