Killer Mint Julep

About this Cocktail

From Jordan Felix, Multnomah Whiskey Library.

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 oz Strong Cognac (VSOP)
  • 1/2 oz Rye Whisky
  • 1/4 to 1/2 oz Demerara syrup or Mint syrup
  • 8-10 mint leaves
Preparation:

In Julep cup, add syrup and gently press mint leaves at bottom of glass with muddler (don't grind into paste!). Add cognac and whisky, agitate glass and pack with crushed ice. Stir gently and briefly to raise frost. Fill with glass with ice to make cone shape at top. Garnish with fresh mint. **Dash Rum on top (Appleton Extra?)
