About this Cocktail

Chenaholic joked about a mini fruit allergy while working to get this cocktail just right. I owe him a bit of gratitude since I love, love, love kiwis! The mix of ingredients offer up a nice mix of sweet and sour. A bit tart mixed with some sweetness is almost reminiscent of something tiki-like...make it and you be the judge!

Note: I doubled up the original recipe but kept the ratios intact.

  • 2 1/4 oz Bacardi Light Rum
  • 3/4 oz Midori Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 Kiwi (muddling)
  • Egg White
  • Kiwi Wheel Garnish

Prepare half a kiwi for muddling by peeling and slicing/dicing it.

Combine the kiwi pieces into a cocktail shaker along with all ingredients except for the kiwi wheel garnish.

Dry shake for 20+ seconds, then add ice and reshape for another 15 seconds until well chilled.

Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a kiwi wheel.
