Korean Martini

About this Cocktail

A mate (@blackeef_tom) came round the other night and in return for a bacon sarnie brought me a bottle of Jinro Soju. Jinro ine if the more popular brands of Soju which is the national drink of Korea. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jinro. Soju is like a sweeter more winey, floral vodka. It can range from 16.7% ABV to 45% (a bizarrely broad range for a category to my mind) and the brand I had was 19.8%. It is really rather drinkable and here I have simply substituted it for vermouth given the similar ABV in a martini.

Ingredients:
  • 50ml gin
  • 15ml Soju
  • Dash Dr Adam Elmegirab's Spanish Bitters
  • Lemon peel
Preparation:

Stir slowly, strain and sip.
