About this Cocktail
Was back in Vermont skiing at Stratton and had to pick up more from the amazing dudes at Green Mountain Distillery*. Their Maple Liqueur is fabulous, essentially Maple Syrup + spirit.
2 oz Bacon infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon
0.75 oz Green Mountain Maple Liqueur
0.5 oz Laird's Applejack
One dash Ango
Two dashes Orange Bitters
Luxardo Maraschino cherry
-Bacon Infused Bourbon: I filled an empty honey jar with Buffalo Trace, one piece of bacon and one barspoon of Maple Syrup. Let sit for a week.
In tin, combine bourbon, maple liqueur, applejack and bitters. Stir over cracked ice. Strain into short glass. Cherry in glass, express orange peel and rub the rim.
*Green Mountain also makes delicious pine tasting Gin which I love to use in a Gimlet.
