About this Cocktail
I've been playing around with Black Manhattan variations a lot lately and decided to try one with gin. This is essentially a Black Manhattan vs a Martinez.
2 oz Gin
1 oz Averna Amaro
1/4 oz Punt e Mes
1/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
Two dashes Orange Bitters
Three dashes Chocolate Bitters
One dash Angostura Bitters
Combine in shaker filled with cracked ice. Stir. Strain into coupe. Express lemon peel and use as garnish.
Note: I've used Bombay Dry and Plymouth. Both are great but I prefer the smoothness of Plymouth.
Variation: reduce the Averna and add 1/4 oz Fernet for extra darkness and digestif wonderfulness.
