About this Cocktail

A classic and a favourite amongst Americans.

Ingredients:
  • 50ml Eagle Rare Single Barrel
  • 10ml Sugar Syrup
  • 2 Dash Angostura Bitters
  • 10 Mint Leaves
Preparation:

First using the end of your bar spoon, lightly press your mint ensuring that you bruise and burst some of the leaves refreshing capillaries. Once this is done you then add your sugar syrup, bitters and finally whisky. You csn use any bourbon or American whisky of your choice, all will work well, the only real thing limiting you would be price. Once you have added all of your ingredients, add crushed ice and then lightly churn, moving only a small portion of your mint through the cup, whilst leaving most at the bottom. Ensuring that the user drinks through and to the mint. Once churned, crown and add a large good mint sprig at the top of your cup- leaving the sprig next to your sip straws, allowing your olfactory senses to take over when enjoying the drink.
