My 1st suze cocktail

About this Cocktail

Wanted to use a bottle of Suze that I recently special-ordered from liquor store so I made this. Turned out to be a delicious drink. Was bitter, sour, sweet and a little vegetal all at once. Couldn't tell if bitterness in drink was coming from grapefruit or suze however.... Next time I try using suze, I will make it the only bitter ingredient in the cocktail.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz espolon reposado tequila
  • 1.0 oz suze gentian liqueur
  • 0.5 to 0.75 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 0.25 to 0.5 oz of agave nectar
Preparation:

Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled shaker. Fine-strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a grapefruit twist.
