About this Cocktail

Derived from the famed "Last Word"
Sweet and tannic with nuttiness and acute acidity. Original. Created at MG Road in Asheville NC.

Ingredients:
  • 3/4oz. St. George Terroir Gin
  • 3/4 Lazzaroni Amaretto
  • 3/4oz Cynar
  • 3/4oz pineapple juice
  • Lime twist (g)
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker.
Add ice.
Shake to combine
Double strain and serve up in a coupe.
Garnish with lime twist.

    Seems like a really interesting flavor combination, but all that pineapple and amaretto seems like it'd be a bit sweet and sticky.

    I liked this as you listed the recipe, but my wife thought it was a little too bitter. I made one for her with 1/4 oz Cynar and 1/2 oz Aperol and she now loves this drink. I know that screws up the Last Word derivation, but it is very tasty. Thanks for sharing Pat!
