Negroni Crusta

About this Cocktail

The 1910s bitter classic crossed with the 1850s New Orleans gem, that I mashed up for Negroni Week 2018.

  • 3/4 oz Gin
  • 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 3/4 oz Campari
  • 1/4 oz Curaçao
  • 1/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
  • 1/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

Shake with ice, strain into a narrow cocktail (or wine) glass rimmed with sugar, and garnish with a long lemon (or orange) twist wrapped around the interior lip.

In general I like to restrict drinks to four ingredients plus garnish (and I don't like to garnish unless necessary), but this sounds good, I'll have to try it sometime soon.

Just made this and it is delish. If you don’t like bitter cocktails, you may want to play with the ratios for the Campari sub it out.
