Not-A-Negroni

About this Cocktail

A friend had us over for dinner; he made incredible, simple pizzas. Everyone on the Internet says that you need to pair pizza with a negroni. Since I hate Campari, that kinda complicated things. This is where I ended up; a lot more balanced and sweet forward, but still a bitter, burnt orange undertone.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. dry vermouth
  • .5 oz. Strega
  • .5 oz. Aperol
  • Dash of orange bitters
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in mixing cup over ice. Stir until cold (or shake if more dilution is preferred). Strain into a glass over new ice or neat. Express oils from lemon and orange peel.
