About this Cocktail

I was introduced to this variation of the Blood & Sand at Pesce in SF, but they used different ratios and had a different name for it. The smokiness of the Mezcal is a great replacement for the Scotch that's typically found in this drink. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
  • 2oz Mezcal (Del Maguey VIDA or other)
  • 1oz Fresh Blood Orange/Orange Juice
  • 1/2oz Cherry Heering
  • 1/2oz Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica)
Preparation:

Shake and strain into coupe or over a large rock if you prefer in rocks glass. Flamed orange peel garnish.
