About this Cocktail

An original. Big vegetal notes, earthy, nutty in the mouth with lots of anise on the nose. The celery bitters shine.

  • 1.5oz Olorosso Sherry (Lustau)
  • 1.5oz Gentian Liqueur (Suze)
  • 1 dash Celery Bitters (Bittered Truth)
  • Absinthe Rinse (Kübler)

Stir then strain into chilled, absinthe rinsed coupe. Lemon twist garnish.

I used Lustau's East India Solera and this was fantastic. A very nice shim indeed! Thanks for sharing!

Ran out of Olorosso, so I subbed Torres 10 year Spanish Brandy, and that is also a nice variation... More alcohol and still has nice balance thanks to the sherry notes of Spanish Brandy. This cocktail has made me a huge fan of Suze!
