About this Cocktail

This is an original I made for the draft cocktail list at Tavernita. It's refreshing, with a nice kick from the ginger and subtle spice.

Ingredients:
  • 3 Small slices Ginger
  • .25 oz John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum
  • .5 oz Benedictine
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .25 oz Agave Necter
  • 1.5 oz Olmeca Altos Blanco Tequila
  • 2 dashes Angostura
Preparation:

Muddle ginger well with Falernum in shaker tin. Add all other ingredients. Shake. Double strain over fresh ice in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a slice of candied ginger or a lemon wedge.
